Title: Business Development Manager, Defense &
Electronic Systems
Reports to: Director, Business Development, Defense & Electronic
Systems
- Education:
BA/BS Required, Technical or Scientific
Discipline Preferred.
MA/MS and/or MBA Preferred
- Background:
3-5 years experience in RF/Electronic Systems
Requirements Definition, Design, Development, and/or Testing for Current US
DoD weapon systems programs.
5 Years experience in System Integration of RF and
Electronics systems, with desired focus on Electronic Warfare or Electronic
Support Measures Systems.
Total of 10 years in Defense Electronics Development
& Sales Business Environment
5 Years Business Development, and Product Marketing
Experience
Experience with DoD and Foreign Military Sales Budgeting
& Acquisition Process
US Military Service is Desirable
- Personal Attributes:
Articulate - Skilled in Oral and Written Presentations
Self Directed - Sets own goals and manages priorities to
them
Experience in Product Marketing
Quick Study on Technical and Business Issues
Proficient with standard computer and office automation
tools
- Familiarity and Contacts/Relationships
with:
DoD Development offices Responsible for Electronic
Systems
Major Defense Weapon Systems Primes
Major Defense Electronics/Avionics System Development
Companies
Major DoD Operational commands, such as SOCOM, AFSOC,
ACC, AMC.

Market Surveys/Research, & Tracking of: DoD
procurement initiatives, technology & system roadmaps, Major program
plan and status
Business Planning, Sales Forecasting, Marketing Campaign
Plan Development
Customer Contact and Follow-up, Relationship Development,

System Concept Development, Program Planning
Marketing Material Development, Advertising &
Publicity, Press Releases, Industry Event Support
